The strength of the four animals - to feel the archetypes

26.06.2026 until 28.06.2026

in Köln-Dellbrück
with Gabriela Freyhoff

Similar to the four elements, animals also have great symbolic power. The snake, the tiger, the hippopotamus and the heron are animals chosen by Rlando Toro; they symbolise qualities of feelings and movements that live within each of us and which we – like our ancestors – can express.

The connection with animals also has a shamanic characteristic, because we become the respective animal and learn from it how it perceives the world. This seminar will enable us to awaken the essence of these elemental archetypes that nature offers us.
The tiger is power, passion, synergy, agility, strength, attentiveness; it loves its body, its elasticity, its sense of rhythm. It is conscious, relaxed and self-confident.
The snake is a symbol of energy, undulating movement, seduction and magnetism full of sensual wisdom. It teaches us to move, to reinvent ourselves, to overcome obstacles and to be close to Mother Earth.
The hippopotamus represents the instinct for satiety, for the fullness of the senses, which is connected with visceral pleasure, the emotional sensuality of the herd, the feeling of belonging, serenity... in short, with the enjoyment of life.
The heron symbolises inspiration, lightness, an expanded view full of possibilities, a gift from heaven. Strength, joy and freedom.
So, we experience ourselves in a whole new way and can also integrate these new forms of expression into our everyday lives. Greater satisfaction, better health and a more optimistic outlook on life are often the result.

In this way, we broaden our view of the world, our repertoire of movement and expression, and increasingly perceive ourselves as part of the abundance of life, which we can discover in ever new facets until the end of our lives. A wealth that costs no money.

The path of ecxtasy - Advanced training for Biodanz teachers

09.07.2026 until 12.07.2026

in 49324 Melle, near Osnabrück
with Nadia Robin (Switzerland), translation: Gabriele Freyhoff

An extraordinary seminar that invites Biodanza teachers to experience ecstasy and at the same time qualifies them to realise it with participants.

Ecstasy includes the feeling of being intensely alive, which does not happen often in our lives. It is a vivencia of beautification, enchantment, deep joy and happiness that can be associated with various human experiences: the mystical path, sexuality, dance, poetry, music, contact with nature, artistic and scientific creation, travel, the emotional community of deep bonds such as from a mother to her son and including close friendship.

The spiritual passion of Christian mystics such as St. Teresa of Jesus or St. John of the Cross does not seem so far removed from the worldly orgasms of lovers.
The legend of Eros and Psyche also addresses this duality. Eros is love and Psyche is the soul; feeling and thinking, two paths that are necessary and mutually beneficial. When they are separated, we can have satisfying but limited experiences: limited pleasures, dull thoughts; united, integrated, they can lead us to ecstasy.

Once upon a time there was a king who had three daughters. He had successfully married off two of them, but not Psyche, the third, because she was beautiful and no one decided to conquer her. The adoration that her beauty inspired reached the ears of Aphrodite, and aroused her jealousy and envy: how could a mortal be as admired as she? The worried king decided to consult the oracle. Aphrodite convinced Apollo that he would allow her to answer the question. In this way, she informed Psyche's father that his daughter was to marry a monster. Aphrodite followed through with her plan and sent her son Eros to shoot an arrow at Psyche when she saw the terrible beast passing by.
From there on, the myth took on different forms: In some, Eros remained petrified at the sight of the beautiful mortals, as if he had been hit by his own arrow, while in others he was actually accidentally hit by his arrow. In any case, Eros fell in love with Psyche and, fearing his mother's wrath, he decided to hide this love. So he asked the god of the wind to take the sleeping Psyche to his palace. There she awoke, surrounded by handmaidens and guards who told her that her lord would return at nightfall. He came when it was already dark and stood before her, telling her that he was her husband and that although he was not a monster, she could not see him, but that she must accept him and entrust herself to him. She accepted and they lived happily ever after, unaware that her husband was a god, let alone that it was Eros in person.
When Psyche's sisters heard about her success, they decided to visit her. She told them the story of their romance and showered them with gifts, explaining her husband's absence by saying that he was a travelling salesman. Months later, her sisters came to visit again, and she forgot her earlier explanation and told them that her husband was a teacher who gave lectures and therefore could not be introduced to them. The nuns began to suspect something. Out of envy and concern, they told her that the only reason she was not allowed to meet him was because he was the monster the oracle had chosen for her. They advised her to take care of him and to check who her husband was. That night, when Eros slept beside her, Psyche lit an oil lamp, contrary to their agreement, and found that her husband was the most beautiful man imaginable. Without meaning to, a drop of oil from the lamp fell on Eros' shoulder and woke him up. There he told her who he was: the god of love. At the same time, he told her that he would have to leave her forever because she had broken his oath.
Psyche decided to win Eros' love back at all costs and decided to go to Aphrodite, who could not refuse to give them an opportunity because she knew that Eros loved her intensely. She resolved the dilemma by demanding that Psyche fulfil three tests that she considered impossible for a mortal to complete. However, all the elements, humans and animals, worked together with the girl, who was touched by their love, and helped her to pass the tests demanded by Aphrodite.
When they were finally free to love each other, Eros and Psyche married and soon had a daughter, who was named Ecstasy.
What does it mean that Ecstasy is a woman? Because as soon as she was born, the other ecstasies or their ovules - sons, were already inside her. With the arrival of the first experience of ecstasy, we already have the path to the following ones, because they are in the first in potency.
It is obvious that Psyche's passion for Eros meant a sacrifice to overcome the obstacles imposed by her stepmother Aphrodite. Sacrifice: sacred office, the path of the religious. How paradoxical this is!

From paradox to paradox, we return to Dionysus, the symbol of ‘profane’ ecstasy par excellence, of unbridled passion, drunkenness, orgy. How could his habits lead us to a sacred place, what ecstasy do they speak to us of?

Ecstasy is a state of expanded consciousness. It is not reserved for a few people. It is based on the experience of wholeness and access to the wonderful, drawing on our ability to transcend our identity, our ego, and connect with something greater. The connection with everything is a feeling of happiness that we can only achieve with difficulty in a world where everything happens so fast and where there are hardly any moments of peace and quiet. So this weekend, we are giving ourselves space for a deep connection to ourselves and to everything that surrounds us in nature.
In Biodanza, we can rediscover slightly altered states of consciousness and the richness of each moment, which reveals a sensitive world to us in which the ordinary is extraordinary and evokes wonder and inner freedom.
An investigation into several characteristics:
• Access to the experience of eternity
• A deep sense of belonging to creation
• Enhanced perceptions (numbers, sounds, colours, senses)
• Unconditional love for all that exists
• A sense of freedom and inner expansion
• Increased ease and physical pleasure
• An enlightenment that fluctuates between ecstasy and devotion

Through dance and encounters, we drink more and more from the source of life. This path, nourished by music and embedded in a time of here and now, allows us to make the immeasurable accessible.

Our surroundings are a beautiful conference centre in the middle of forests and meadows in Lower Saxony, near Osnabrück, which fits in with the theme of the workshop.

Biodanza with clay -Extension for Biodanza professors (recognized by IBFed) 2° modul

11.09.2026 until 13.09.2026

in Melle (near Osnabrück)
with Gabriela Freyhoff

Clay is mouldable earth, the primordial raw material of life.

Working with clay connects us with our unconscious and allows our fingers to create shapes that we have not planned: Shapes of our inner self. Clay is soft and pliable and responds to the slightest movement. Touching clay sometimes feels like touching our own origins.

This weekend will focus on tips and information for leading "Biodanza with clay" workshops. The element is regressive in itself. And so there are a number of important criteria for Biodanza teachers. Please bring a swimsuit/bikini/swimsuit again.

The magic of abundance - Biodanza in the garden of the der muses/Greece

24.10.2026 until 31.10.2026

in Peloponnes/Griechenland
with Gabriela Freyhoff

An invitation to reconnect with the sweetness and lightness of life and enjoy the paradisiacal surroundings, the dance and all the sensations.

The Hellenikon Iyllion seminar house is located on the Peloponnese, right by the sea. It is a natural paradise, a beautiful huge garden with a tropical flair that invites you to linger, dance and enjoy. Spread across a large area are a number of bungalows where we will be staying. We will dance on concert stages or on the lawns, perhaps even on the beach. It is a paradise: all rooms have a terrace with sea views.
In this environment, it is easy to reconnect with the fullness of life.
Relaxation comes naturally. And when the desire for adventure returns, there are also a wealth of archaeological sites to visit. This Biodanza holiday is addictive. Experiencing vitality and abundance, combined with sensuality, creativity and the fulfilment of the longing to be involved in encounters of openness and acceptance – that is Biodanza.
Biodanza, a form of lively pedagogy for feeling and experiencing oneself in encounters with oneself, other people and the totality (cosmos), was developed in Chile in the 1960s by psychologist and anthropologist Rolando Toro. This week provides an insight into the richness of the Biodanza experience and opens up new perspectives on life.

Every day we dance once or twice (in the morning and/or evening). Depending on the wishes of the group, we go on hikes or excursions, thus expanding the Biodanza programme.
The impressions of this stay, including our dances, will inspire us, allow us to ‘draw from the full’ again and experience the fullness of life as a magic that is always there.
